Took my car to get diagnosed I explained what was wrong when my husband had ran his computer and all the codes that were coming up I let them know that I wanted the car diagnosed to know exactly what was wrong with it. They did not inform me how much it would be. I was called and they let me know about the codes coming up witch we knew already and still did not let us know how much they were charging us.. we had to go and talk to someone and that is when they let us know it was $225 for it seems nothing because they didn't know exactly what was wrong with the car and was told they would have to fix this and that but it still mite not be the problem and that was going to run us a $700 for one part Andy for them to keep guessing and figuring it out I don't know how much more they were going to keep changing .. I feel I should have been told from the beginning how much it would be and what was going on.. I'm not happy with the care we got I feel nothing was done .. Thank you for leaving a review, we would like to respond. Our check engine light diagnosis is $225.00 for non-european vehicles and is quoted as such during the phone call to schedule an appointment. You were told the diagnostic fee at that time, before your vehicle was allowed to be towed in. Your vehicle had several fault codes and would stall out, stop running, after only a few seconds of operation. Your husband had been installing multiple parts on your vehicle in an attempt to correct the vehicle condition. Unfortunately, we need to verify his repairs and part integrity as incorrect parts or defective parts can be purchased over the counter at a parts store or online. We have NO idea the quality of the parts installed so we have to start with checking those items. Most of your fault codes were related to high pressure fuel pump operation and camshaft/crankshaft position sensor correlation. Your vehicle had a new high pressure fuel pump, new camshaft position sensor & new crankshaft position sensor along with other sensors. The remaining fault code was related to throttle position sensors 1 & 2 with a mismatch. We verified that throttle position sensor 2 was stuck at the 5 volt reference voltage, while sensor 1 would range with throttle applied and released. We then gave you an estimate for a factory throttle body as those sensors are BUILT INTO the throttle body and can't be changed independently. We believe that the sensor mismatch is what is causing your stalling condition that PROHIBITS the further diagnosis of your remaining fault codes. We must be able to run the engine to diagnose the high pressure fuel system as it is mechanically driven by the engine. We advised you to replace the throttle body first, then recheck. The other items could be diagnosed as the engine would continue to run. We are sorry that you declined repairs and took the ability to further diagnose the issues from us at this time.
